It was narrated that the month of Ramadan is Abd Allah bin Abd al-Muttalib, in which the Quran—who is Muhammad—was sent down. The meaning of thirty days refers to thirty persons from the appearance of Adam—who are the Gates [Abwab]—until the expiration of the cycle and the appearance of the Mahdi.

It was also said: Ramadan is Abu Talib.

The meaning of thirty days (Umm Ayid) is thirty, so he became a confidant [Najiyya] and they were protected from deviation, as were the women.
