I read what was on its stone, and behold, it was written: "Adhere to Taqiyya, and you will be saved."

Then he said: O Abu Khalid, Taqiyya is my religion and the religion of my fathers and grandfathers; whoever has no Taqiyya has no religion.

And by the chain from him, from his men, from our Master al-Sadiq—from him is mercy—that he said to Abu Mu'awiya: The example of our Shi'a is like the example of the Youth of the Cave; they manifested disbelief and harbored faith. When the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah will resurrect them as a nation unto themselves. This means: Adhere to Taqiyya.

This is a command from him to adhere to Taqiyya.

And by the chain from the Scholar—upon us be peace from him—that he said to Abu Mu'awiya: O Abu Mu'awiya, convey my greetings to my Shi'a and tell them: Your example is like the example of the Bee; if the birds knew what was in its belly, they would eat it. Similarly, if our enemies knew what is in your chests of our science, they would kill you. Therefore, do not broadcast our secret .
