The Night of Decree... the meanings of fasting

These are the persons of the days of the month of Ramadan and its nights.

Out of these nights, Fatima al-Zahra possesses six nights.

Among them is the first night of the month of Ramadan, in which intimacy [Rafath] was made permissible and honey was made mandatory. Also, the seventeenth night, the nineteenth, the twenty-first, the twenty-third, and the night of the middle of Sha'ban. In all these nights, the Night of Power [Laylat al-Qadr] is sought, and ritual washing [Ghusl] is mandatory in all of them. On the night of the middle of Sha'ban, the visitation [Ziyara] of our Master Husayn—peace be from him—is performed.
