Just as the performance of the Outward is not permissible among believers—like for like and weight for weight.

Know also that just as it is not permissible to give Outward Zakat, nor anything a believer bestows of worldly goods to draw near to Allah, except to his Believing Brothers (who are the eight groups mentioned previously), so too the Babic Science, which is the inward of Zakat, it is not permissible to release it or bestow any of it except to believers only. And just as the outward Zakat is a duty upon believers to perform among the Opposites, likewise the Person of Zakat: it is a duty upon believers to affirm his Humanity [Bashariyya] among the Opposites.

And just as it is mandatory for believers to reject practicing religion through or believing in the Outward Zakat (which consists of these minerals, plants, and animals), it is likewise mandatory to reject practicing religion through or believing in the affirmation of Humanity and its states upon his Luminous Person. If it were permissible for them to believe in the outward Zakat in their private gatherings, it would be permissible for them to believe in the affirmation of humanity upon his Luminous Person in their private gatherings. Similarly, if it were permissible for them to reject its outward form among the Opposites, it would be permissible for them to negate humanity from his person among them and declare to them his Transcendence—like for like and weight for weight.
