Likewise, He loved and willed to be known—though He is not in need of that—but rather to manifest His encompassing grace toward His creation. Therefore, He created the creation as He willed, and He is the Rich, independent of the worlds.

Let us return to what we were discussing: He (the Exalted) paired the command of Prayer with the command of Zakat, saying: {And establish prayer and give zakat and bow with those who bow} (Al-Baqarah 43). He (Glory be to Him) intended to alert us that whoever does not fulfill the knowledge of the Babic Science for those entitled to it has disobeyed His command by not giving Zakat to its people, just like one who disobeys Him by not establishing the Prayer, which is the knowledge of the Greatest Veil.

Establishing the esoteric, for it is also out of need and necessity !!

Know that the name of Outward Zakat is applied to all minerals, plants, and animals that are spent on believers for their need of them, just as the name inward Zakat is applied to all persons of minerals, plants, and animals praised in the Quran, and to their inward knowledges which the scholar teaches to believers due to their need for them. This is because faithful souls are in need of their inward realities just as dark bodies are in need of their outward forms.
