The meaning of "Safqat" is those whose physical persons appear while their knowledge remains hidden from the People of the Outward. The "Natiq" is the one standing in the rank of the Gate after the occultation of the Sin [Salman]. Thus, Rashid stood in it after the occultation of Safina. All are one; multiplicity occurs only in appearance for the People of the Outward, according to the physical temperament and what is hidden from them. The reality of those upon whom it is spent are those from whom Gnosis is transferred through their movement in human births. Charity upon them from the believer consists of reminding them of what the darkness of their physical temperament made them forget regarding the Pure Monotheism they possessed before their transformation. This is done by extending the hand of petition to the believers to return their lost property.
The Master Mim [Muhammad]—peace be from him—said: "Wisdom is the lost property of the believer."
He established it for him and made it mandatory for the Gnostics to return it to him after his straying from it. The meaning of His saying: {Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to their owners} (An-Nisa 58) refers to Gnosis. If the good manners of the seeker appear to you in his quest, then bestow upon him your secret which was a previous presence.
