If a believer brings joy to a denier [Jāhid] or an opponent [Mukhālif], he is penalized by the stripping of his sanctity [Hurma]. If he pays off a debt for him, worries will afflict him and his sanctity will decrease. If he fulfills his need or assists him, he is penalized with the opposite [suffering] that will afflict him. If he feeds him [the opponent], Allah will afflict him with drought and hunger. If he affirms him, follows his way, or shows him affection, he will be returned in the "Shirt of Satan" and loathed in vile shirts and the molds of metamorphosis [Masukhiyya]. For a believer is not permitted to extend his hand toward any of the actions of the "Opposite." Beware, absolute caution, for these are the paths of destruction.
If a believer satisfies his hunger with an opponent by his own free will, Allah will afflict him with hunger and scarcity. If he feeds him or fulfills his need by his free will—claiming that he is performing a "good deed"—Allah will return him as ignorant, clothe him in the shirts of humiliation, and afflict him with trials and scarcity. He will be loathed in a "shirt" that he does not consider among the numbered shirts. Indeed, the charities, righteousness, and bestowing commanded by the Masters, the People of the House, and the Pure Imams are only permissible for the "Reached Scholars," the People of Faith, and the "Stations of Concealment." This is what Allah has commanded.
And His saying: {Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds} (Hud 114).
