And his saying: "I am the Ya'sub [Leader/Queen Bee] of the believers." While wealth is the Ya'sub [of others], the disbelievers have no Ya'sub except wealth, gold, and silver.
It was also narrated that a person is questioned about his prestige [Jah] just as he is questioned about his wealth, and its zakat lies in fulfilling the needs of his brothers. His wealth is his inclination [Mayl] toward his Master.
And His saying: {And whatever blessing you have, it is from Allah} (An-Nahl 53). So do not grow weary of the blessings, lest the vengeance [Niqam] turn upon you.
From the Scholar, it was narrated that he said: "Whoever is provided with forty hadiths must purify them by giving one hadith from them to its deserving recipient."
From the book (Realities of the Secrets of Religion [Haqa'iq Asrar al-Din]) by Ibn Shu'ba al-Harrani—may Allah sanctify him—what he narrated from the Scholar [the Imam]—peace be from him—regarding the zakat of the scholar. He said: "It is his bestowing of knowledge upon his brothers, because knowledge is the Great Treasure and the Core Essence [al-Jawhar al-Samim]. The scholar is the one who uncovers the treasures—meaning knowledge—and enriches the poor among the believers with them."
