If their names are identical, how can some be distinguished from others?
I said: If their names are the same, how is one known from another?
He said: These different names were only made for the owners of the dense bodies who travel to one another. As for the luminous bodies, their owner reaches wherever he wishes in his time and hour.
I said: We see the stars called by different names while they are stationed in the Higher Assembly? He said: They were only named with different names according to us, not according to them; that was only done because of our need for it, and had it not been for that, He would not have done it.
And similar to that is what was cited by the most exalted Master Muhammad al-Kalazi al-Antaki—may Allah sanctify him—in his epistle titled (Negation of the Trinity and Affirmation of Oneness), saying: The author of the Luminous Table mentioned that, saying:
Every Adam in the Quran is Zayd bin Harithah, every Noah in the Quran is Ibrahim bin Azar, and every Moses is Musa bin Ashyam and every Jesus in the Quran is Jesus son of al-Majdalaniyah, and every Muhammad in the Quran is Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr. We have seen in the interpretation of some verses that the mention of these prophets falls upon the Name, while some fall upon the Prophesier.
