Therefore, they established "humanity" [Bashariyya] upon the Successors, the Prophets, and all the Worlds of Light, because they followed the allegorical verses. They denied the Inward Science [Al-Batin] because of their rejection of those decisive verses that point to the Inward, and because of their rejection of the "Refusal of the Outward" and the sanctification of the Worlds of Light from all human states.

Some who have not attained a portion of Gnosis [Ma'rifa] and Jurisprudence [Fiqh] have imagined that the Sun and the Moon are [only] censured, due to their belief in the allegorical verses [Mutashabihat] that censure the Sun and the Moon, and their rejection of the decisive verses [Muhkamat] that praise and venerate the Sun and the Moon. This is similar to the rejection by the People of the Outward [Ahl al-Zahir] of the decisive verses and their following of the ambiguous statements that are confusing to them—thereby establishing "humanity" [Bashariyya] upon the Successors, the Messengers, and others among the Worlds of Light. Thus occurred the [theological] disagreement existing between us.

This is because they interpret all the verses pointing to the censure of the Sun and the Moon as referring to these two celestial luminaries and nothing else. As for the verses pointing to the praise and veneration of the Sun and the Moon, they reject them and do not believe in them.
