The same is said regarding the House to which they perform pilgrimage; for if He (the Exalted) had willed to command any of His prophets to build a house other than it in any land whatsoever, and then commanded the people to turn toward it like this House, the indication through it would point to Allah just as the indication points through this House which is in Bakka [Mecca]. Measure against that, for these outward acts of worship are all parables pointing to inward gnoses and luminous persons. Allah intends by them nothing but the inward meanings, and the proof for that is the variation of their outward forms, which point to the Inward that never varies.

Know that it [the Religion/Truth] was founded since the creation of beings. Allah mandated its Inward [Batin], which does not change, alter, or perish, upon all people in every Dome and Manifestation. The believers believed and affirmed what He (the Exalted) intended and pointed to regarding its inward realities in every Dome and Manifestation. As for the disbelievers, they rejected and denied His will and His indications through it; they persisted and waxed proud in arrogance. They believed only in these outward forms, just as they believed that the Luminous Person [Al-Shakhs al-Nurani] manifested to them was merely a human like them, subject to whatever they are subject to.
