Because when they reached the knowledge of the Inward, they apostatized from it and belied its people, they did not obtain the light of faith in the world. Likewise, at the appearance of the Qā’im [the Mahdi], their faces shall blacken, and they will know they were not upon the Truth. The proof of this is His saying: {Faces that day will be radiant} (Abasa 38)... End of the explanation.

I say: Among what agrees with the Transmitted [Manqūl] from the perspective of the Rational [Ma’qūl] is that if victory and salvation were found in the outward forms of these rulings and acts of worship—and their requirements such as ablution [Wudu], washing with water [Ghusl], dry ablution with dust [Tayammum], facing the Qibla, bowing [Ruku], prostration [Sujud], standing, and sitting—then it would have been mandatory for every Messenger to command all people with them. The Prophets, Messengers, and all believers would have established them in every manifestation prior to this Muhammadan manifestation. Yet, we have not found a single book informing us that one of the previous believers or one of the Prophets used to pray according to this Islamic prayer, nor fasting Ramadan before the appearance of Muhammad (PBUH)! Knowing that their religion is one and their God is one.
