"Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light" (Explanation of Al-Kalazı).

The explanation of this noble verse appeared in the treatise (Negation of the Trinity and Confirmation of Monotheism) by the meticulous scholar Sheikh Muhammad al-Kalazi al-Antaki—may Allah sanctify his soul—with his saying: This dialogue occurs between the believers and the disbelievers after the appearance of the awaited Mahdi, when the faces of the disbelievers and deniers who belied the Prophets and showed enmity to the Saints become blackened until their faces are like pieces of the dark night; while the faces of the Gnostic saints, the people of piety and religion, become whitened until light appears from their faces like the lights of the pearly stars. Then the disbelievers seek to take their knowledge from the believers so they may ignite from their lights, and it is said: "Go back behind you; this refers to the Return [Raj'a] and the Apostasy [Ridda] by which they turned back from faith toward the doctrines of disbelief and hostility. Then the Wall [Sūr] is placed over them, which is the Outward Science [Zahir] that possesses a Gate. This Gate is the Gate of Gates [Bāb al-Abwāb] who gated every science and gnosis; he is Lord Salman, the Inward Science that appeared to the People of Realities. He is the one in whom is Mercy [Bāṭinuhu fīhi al-Raḥma], while on its outside is Punishment [Ẓāhiruhu min qibalihi al-ʿadhāb], which is the Outward Science of the laws.
