This is supported by what Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Shu'ba al-Harrani [may Allah sanctify him] cited in the book (Realities of the Secrets of Religion) regarding the knowledge of the Praised Persons, and that they are the inward of the commanded obligation and the dropping of outward deeds as you see. Allah the Exalted said: {O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying, nor in a state of major ritual impurity [Junub] except those passing through a way, until you have washed} (An-Nisa 43).
And from the book (Al-Haft wa al-Azilla), on the authority of Abu Abd-Allah [Imam al-Sadiq] regarding His saying: {And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakat and was pleasing to his Lord} (Maryam 55)—he said: "His people [Ahl]" are the believers from among his Shi'a who are deserving of their faith, and it is the high degree and the knowledge of Monotheism [Tawhid]—that He is the Most High, the Supreme [Al-Ali al-A'la].
And His saying: {And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakat}. The Prayer [Salat] is the Commander of the Faithful [Ali], and the Zakat is the knowledge of him.
