He did not charge these deniers, who are persistent in disobedience and rejection, with this outward obligation except because of their denial, disbelief, rejection, persistence, and plotting, which He (the Exalted) informed us of by His saying:

{And they plotted, and Allah plotted, and Allah is the best of plotters} (Al-Imran 54).

And by His saying in Surah An-Nahl: {They recognize the favor of Allah, then they deny it, and most of them are disbelievers} (An-Nahl 83).

And by the saying of the Exalted on the tongue of His Prophet Noah (peace be upon him): {And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance} (Nuh 7).

Supererogatory prayers... the application of washing the limbs.. there is no changing the words of Allah

As for the supererogatory prayers [Nawafil] which the worshiper must perform when capable and may shorten when incapacitated or in necessity, they are only to indicate that we are obligated to know the Luminous Persons [Ashkhas Nuraniyya] represented by these supererogatory prayers, and to know their sciences and the manifestations of the Creator (the Exalted) to them, each according to their capacity, for
