Master Muhammad (peace be upon him) prohibits [following] them. And His (the Exalted) saying: {They said, "O Shuaib, does your prayer command you that we should leave what our fathers worshiped..."} (Hud 87). And His saying: {Indeed, prayer has been for the believers a timed decree} (An-Nisa 103).

So the Prayer is the Master Mim [Muhammad]; Pre-eternity [Al-Azal] has decreed upon the Gnostics the knowledge of him in every time he appears.

And His saying: {He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself. And mentions the name of his Lord and prays} (Al-A'la 14-15).

He is the Mim. He has indicated in His Book that the Prayer is a commander and a forbidder, whereas this manifest [ritual] prayer is neither a commander nor a forbidder. The True Prayer is the Master Muhammad and the knowledge of him; and that he—peace be upon him—is the commander and the forbidder in all the Kingdom [Mulk]. The witness to this from the Book is His (the Exalted) saying: {And whatever the Messenger has given you—take; and what he has forbidden you—refrain from} (Al-Hashr 7). And His saying: {Obey Allah and obey the Messenger} (An-Nisa). And His saying: {He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah} (An-Nisa 80). And His saying: {Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy} (At-Takwir 21).
