Bowing Supplication Sitting Salutation.
The meaning of loud recitation [Al-Jahr] in the night prayers is an indication of the manifestation of the miracle and the brilliant power during the manifestation of the Sharia in the Cycle of Veiling [Dur al-Satr] by the one manifest through it. The loud recitation in the first two units [Rak'at] of every night prayer was an indication that the Meaning [Al-Ma'na]—Exalted is His Might—appeared during the occultation from the sights of the people of the temperament through the Likeness [Al-Mithal], such as the likeness of the First Ha [Hasan], who is the person of the Maghrib prayer, then His manifestation in the likeness of the Second Ha [Husayn], who is the person of the Last Isha prayer. Loudness in these two times was an indication of the prayer of the Meaning upon them and His honoring of them.
As for the loud recitation in the Fajr prayer, it is an indication of the one pointed to by the Fajr prayer, which is the manifestation of the Third Ha [Muhsin] with the sword on the Day of the White Return [Al-Karra al-Bayda], for he is the master of the call on the Day of Disclosure [Yawm al-Kashf]. The inward meaning of silent recitation [Al-Mukhafata] is an indication of the silence of the Speaker [Al-Natiq] in the stations he occupied after the Message, regarding the manifest call to himself.
