It is narrated by way of the Shia, from what they transmitted regarding the interpretation of the Quran from Imam al-Sadiq, that he said: The praised Hell in the Inward is the Qa'im, the Hell of the disbelievers—meaning their punisher by the sword. The censured Hell is the Pharaoh of this nation, and he is the one such that if the believer falls into his snares, he falls into the Hell that Allah mentioned, which in reality, according to the people of the path, is metamorphosis (al-Masukhiyah). The praised Fire is the Gate (al-Bab), and the censured Fire is metamorphosis. Praise regarding the Fire is more than praise regarding Hell, and praise regarding Hell is less than praise regarding the Fire; the praise of the Fire is the root and the praise of Hell is the branch.

As for His saying: (Their refuge is the Fire; it is their protector), this is for the negligent; your refuge is the punishment of the Qa'im whom you used to call "our Master" then you disbelieve in him and show enmity toward his friends.
