This is like the saying of the Prophet to his companions: "Do not say Ramadan, for by Allah, you do not know what Ramadan is; rather say the Month of Ramadan." And just as Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: {The month of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed} (Al-Baqarah 185). Have you not heard the saying of the Mighty and Majestic: {Whoever among you witnesses the month, let him fast it} (Al-Baqarah 185)?

You only witness the Month; as for Ramadan, you are unable to witness it, for the month is merely attributed to it. All of that is to indicate the prohibition of speaking about the pre-eternity of the Essence, the nature of which none knows but He, and to indicate the attributes that created beings see Him by, which are the limit of their capacity.

The People of Monotheism established Monday—which indicates duality (Al-Tathniya)—as Master Salman. This is because He (the Exalted) made it a parable to indicate the formation of the Most Noble Gate (Al-Bab al-Akram) and his rank, and the manifestation of the Meaning and the Name to him. Just as it is the second of the days, so the Most Noble Gate is the second of the created beings.
