ranks, without any change or transition from His being, in order to bring them out from the darknesses of ignorance into the lights of the Intellect. This is the meaning of the saying of the Exalted:

{He it is who prays upon you and His angels to bring you out from the darknesses into the light, and He is ever Merciful to the believers} (Al-Ahzab 43).
