He established the confirmation for them by his teaching saying: "It is not mine, but His who sent me," and that so that it may be verified for them that he did not negate or abolish the outward forms of these laws except by the command of the One who sent him.
The proof of this is also his rebuttal to them by his saying: And none of you performs the Law—meaning the Inward (Batin). He reminded them of circumcision on the Sabbath so they would know that the Exalted intends nothing by the Sharia except the Inward.
He emphasized this by explicitly stating to them: Do not judge according to the appearance (Zahir). This is a word that requires no interpretation due to its clarity and lack of ambiguity. Then he said: Judge a just judgment, so that the clarification of his intent would be completed by establishing the Inward, which is the Truth.
Know that the intent of the Lord Christ—peace be upon him—in rejecting the outward of the Mosaic Law was an alert to the believers who were in the days of his Christic manifestation and others, so that they might believe in the Inward in their private gatherings and establish it, and reject belief in the Outward except among the opposites (Adhdad).
