This is an indication that the knowing believers—who are the children of the wedding hall, representing the spiritual manifestation to them with knowledge and power—cannot abstain from acknowledging His Oneness, His transcendence above human states, and submission to His servitude. Nor can they refrain from answering His call as long as the faith—symbolized by the bridegroom—remains constant and settled in their hearts.
Similarly, they cannot "fast" from actions or from food and drink on the Sabbath day—which is symbolized by the entirety of Eternity (Al-Dahr). This Sabbath encompasses all days, which in turn represent all His manifestations (Exalted be He) to the worlds of Light and humanity. These worlds are symbolized by temporal days to denote that these spiritual existences, which He manifested toward these universes, are but one Essence for one Meaning and one God. Just as all days are actually one day and one night which Allah has made as two parables indicating Manifestation and Inwardness, according to the saying of the Master al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): Indeed, the night and the day are two parables for Occultation and Manifestation.
It has been mentioned in linguistic dictionaries that the Sabbath day is Eternity (Al-Dahr), in addition to what is found in the inward books.
