He rejected the outward form for them to prove that Moses' true purpose was the inward of the Sharia, not its outward. It also verifies for them that he did not negate anything brought by Moses at all, but rather came to teach them what had become confused for them regarding the meanings of his sayings, according to his saying—peace be upon him—in the sixth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew: I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

This is a statement that also emphasizes that he did not negate a single letter or a single dot of Moses' speech as it was intended in the Law (Namus) at all. Rather, he came to teach them what was obscured for them regarding the meaning intended by the inward Sharia, not the outward form which they believe in and practice, according to the saying of the Knower (Al-Alim) (peace be upon him) in the book Al-Asus:

For our Lord—Exalted and Majestic—created the creation and knows what benefits them in every time. Thus, He sends to them in every time a prophet to rectify them, abolishing the law of the one who came before him and moving them from one law to another until wisdom is perfected and the goal is reached and knowledge and governance are completed until the end of eternity upon the cessation of action.
