And similar to it is what He Almighty pointed to in His Mighty Book regarding the disassociation from their sciences and actions in Surat At-Tawbah, saying: {[This is a declaration of] disassociation from God and His Messenger to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists.} (At-Tawbah: 1).

Meaning that God and His Messenger are disassociated from the treaty that the polytheists made, which is the belief in what they believe of corrupt doctrines.

As for what is intended by the people of the Fire, the blameworthy tree, and the eating from it, that indicates that the people of the exoteric (Ahl al-Zahir) are the people of the Fire, and that the tree from which they eat is their corrupt exoteric sciences and gnoses, and their eating from it is their belief in it, and that it is a torment upon them in this world, and their return in the Hereafter is to the Hellfire, which is the five Kha's (al-Kha'at al-Khamsah), the rubbish (al-Qashash), and the crawling things (al-Dabib). And He confirmed its blaming in Surat Al-Isra' by His saying: {And the cursed tree in the Quran.} (Al-Isra': 60). And indeed, He, Glory be to Him, forbade Adam, who is represented by us, from eating from it in numerous verses, as will come, if God Almighty wills, in its place. And all of that is so we may desist from believing in it and inclining towards it, and God knows best.

And likewise is the saying regarding the food and drink coupled with praise. That is, the fasting which He Almighty commanded us in His
