And that is by His, Glory be to Him, addressing them with that apparent form and the apparent worldly names and others, whose modalities (Kayfiyyatiha) He taught the believers so that they may manifest dissimulation (Taqiyyah) by them among them, and He commanded them to use that among themselves. And He struck examples for it through apparent depiction, and He, Glory be to Him, addressed them with apparent forms so that they may use them as a guide to the esoteric meanings (al-Ma'ani al-Batinah), and so that they may make them a cover (Sitran) for the esoteric among His enemies.

And indeed, among the totality of His Almighty's addresses to them with examples and forms is His Almighty's address with these five limits/boundaries (al-Hudud al-Khamsah). And because of their non-acknowledgment of its esoteric aspect, they deserved the torment by establishing its exoteric aspect (Zahiraha).

And He has pointed out to the acknowledging believers (al-Mu'minin al-Muqirrin) His Almighty's intent by it in His Mighty Book through numerous verses, as their clarification will come, if God Almighty wills.
