{They are not but [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which God has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption (al-Dhann) and what the souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance.} (An-Najm: 23)

...up to His saying:

{Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels with female names. And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. So turn away from him who turns away from Our remembrance and desires not except the worldly life. That is their sum of knowledge (mablaghuhum min al-'ilm).} (An-Najm: 27-30)

And He Almighty said in Surat Al-An'am:

{And they have falsely attributed to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted is He and high above what they describe.

Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He has no companion (Sahibah) and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.} (Al-An'am: 100-101)

And similar to it is His Almighty's saying in Surat Al-Samadiyyah [Surat Al-Ikhlas]: {Say, "He is God, [who is] One. God, the Eternal Refuge (Al-Samad). He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent."} (Al-Ikhlas: 1-4).
