And His saying: {They mixed a righteous deed with another that was bad. Perhaps God will turn to them in forgiveness.} (At-Tawbah: 102).

For indeed, the companion (al-Qarinah) acts as a guide with the name. So if you see a name upon which falls the mention of disbelief (Kufr), disobedience ('Isyan), wrath (Sukht), a curse (La'nah), or whatever is of the disliked actions (al-Af'al al-Makruhah), then judge that with blame (al-Dhamm). And if you see a name upon which falls the mention of faith (Iman) or obedience (Ta'ah), then judge it with praise (al-Hamd). And if you see a name upon which falls none of these kinds, then it is not bound by praise nor blame. And there may be several names with a single utterance [word], so some of them will be praiseworthy and some of them will be blameworthy; you recognize that by the companion of the name, and the clarification of that will come in detail in its proper place, if God Almighty wills."

And indeed He, Almighty, when He manifested for them upon His Essence the human names and attributes out of their need and necessity for them, they affirmed [them] upon Him and affirmed that He is like them, and they affirmed that upon His prophets and the worlds of His holiness ('Awalim Qudsihi).

As for the names of divinity (Asma' al-Uluhiyyah) with which none other than God, Glory be to Him, is named, they have used them for their gods which they worship besides God.
