transmission from their trustworthy sources from the Messenger and the Imams (peace be upon us); they narrate them and study them but do not [truly] know them. Thus, they [the meanings] are for us, not for them, and the knowledge of them is ours, not theirs. They are the 'fresh meat' and the 'ornament' extracted from the bottom of the sea—and the Sea is Knowledge—as Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: {He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]} (Ar-Rahman 19). And His, Mighty and Majestic, saying: {... this is fresh and sweet, palatable as a drink, and this is salty and bitter. And from each you eat fresh meat and extract ornaments which you wear...} (Fatir 12).

The 'Two Seas' are: the Esoteric Science and the Exoteric Science.
