taught [me] and I have taught, He has enumerated it in the Imam of the righteous (Imam al-Muttaqin), and there is no knowledge except that I have taught it to Ali.

I say to a group who claimed Ali

To be a created being: Come, let us invoke a curse upon each other

That we may place a curse from him and wrath

Upon the tyrannical, lying people.

And this is the Verse of Mubahala (Mutual Cursing) in Surah Al-Imran: {Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you—say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, our selves and your selves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars." Indeed, this is the true narrative. And there is no deity except Allah. And indeed, Allah is the Exalted in Might, the Wise} (Al-Imran 61-62).

Despite all of this, they rejected and denied him; their Islam was merely by tongue and not by heart, as evidenced by the saying of the Exalted: {The bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, "You have not [yet] believed; but say [instead], 'We have submitted'"} (Al-Hujurat 14).
