Mars (al-Marrīkh), and among the days, it is Tuesday. As for the earthly lamb, it is this sheep that is slaughtered, eaten, and becomes excrement.
Likewise, the Luminous Celestial Taurus (al-Thawr), which has been named after the earthly bull, has luminous mansions: two-thirds of al-Thurayyā, al-Dabarān, and two-thirds of al-Haqʿa; all of which are celestial stars. Among the wandering planets, its planet is Venus (al-Zahra), and among the days, it is Friday. As for the earthly bull, it is this bovine ox used for plowing, which is slaughtered and eaten.
Likewise, the Celestial Gemini (al-Jawzāʾ) has luminous stars: one-third of al-Haqʿa, al-Hanʿa, and al-Dirāʿ; they are brilliant, luminous planets. As for the earthly jawzāʾ, it is the well-known Walnut tree (shajarat al-jawz), which bears this fruit that is cracked and eaten.
"As for the celestial Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, which possess the remaining luminous mansions, their earthly forms are these animals, plants, and vanishing things. Among them are what people manufacture with their hands—such as the Scales (al-Mīzān), the Bow (al-Qaws), and the Bucket (al-Dalw); some grow from the earth—such as Gemini (al-Jawzāʾ/Walnut) and the Ear of Grain (al-Sunbula); some are eaten—such as the Lamb, the Bull, and the Kid (al-Jady); some are wild beasts, and some are land or sea insects.
