As for his manifestation through birth, its parable is as our Master Abū Saʿīd—may Allah sanctify him—established in the eighth chapter of al-Ḥāwī fī ʿIlm al-Fatāwī, stating:
'Lineages apply only to the outward aspects of the Names. Do you truly perceive for the Meaning (al-Maʿnā), in reality, a father, a mother, a brother, or a son? Exalted is Allah far above what the wrongdoers say. Rather, these outward names associated with birth are like the appearance of fire from the flint, yet there is no fire [inherent] within the flint.'"
"I say: This is a decisive word, as mentioned in Surah Maryam:
{It is not befitting for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.} (Maryam: 35).
And the Almighty said in Surah al-Kahf:
{And to warn those who say, "Allah has taken a son." They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; they speak not except a lie.} (Al-Kahf: 4-5).
