This is because the manifestation of weakness (al-ʿajz) was nothing but a concealment upon the disbelievers, and instruction and discipline for the believers.
Among that which also indicates its condemnation and praise in the Quran is the saying of the Almighty in Surah al-Māʾidah:
{O you who have believed, indeed, wine (al-khamr), gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful. Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through wine and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?} (Al-Māʾidah: 90–91).
Separating prayer from the remembrance of God... Contradictory sayings ....
And here is a subtle indication, through His separating Prayer (al-Ṣalāt) from the Remembrance of Allah (Dhikr Allāh); this is because Prayer is the Mīm (Muhammad) and the Remembrance of Allah is the ʿAyn (Ali).
This is confirmed by the saying of the Almighty:
{Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater.} (Al-ʿAnkabūt: 45).
