Indeed, these statements and their like indicate the transcendence (tanzih) of the Christ and all other Prophets from humanity and its states; and Allah knows best.

And the Almighty pointed toward this meaning in Surah al-Baqarah by His saying:

{And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.} (Al-Baqarah: 154). That is to say, the Worlds of Light (‘Awalam al-Nur), who have manifested being killed and dying upon themselves, are transcendent (munazzahūn) from being killed and from death.

For this statement, there are many proofs, such as the burning of Abdullah bin Saba and his brothers multiple times and their restoration to life, and the restoration of Christ to life after the crucifixion, and what resembles that.

Among that which contradicts this statement is the saying of the Almighty on the tongue of His Prophet Jesus—peace be upon him: {And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I die and the day I am raised alive} (Maryam: 33), and the saying of the Almighty in Surah Al-Imran: {When Allah said: "O Jesus, indeed I am taking you [to Myself] and raising you to Myself and purifying you from those who disbelieve, and making those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge
