supplicate earnestly and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars.} (Al-Imran: 61).
And there are many verses like these.
Concerning this meaning, it was reported in the Book of the Foundations (Kitab al-Asus) from the speech of The Scholar to the seeker upon his questioning: "What is the testifying of the Lord as opposed to denying Him?" The Scholar replied:
"It is like the Moon; it shows its light from the light of the Sun, thus conveying it to the creation. Likewise, the Veils and the Prophets (peace be upon them) received their speech from Allah and they convey it to the creation; and the Successors (Awsiya) received their speech from the Prophets... etc."
I have already explained these statements in the treatise: Unveiling the Veils and Explaining the Meaning of Truth and Falsehood (Kashf al-Hujub wa Bayan Ma'na al-Sidq wa al-Kadhib)1, so we are relieved of the need to repeat it here.
Among the contradictory sayings as well is what was reported in the first chapter of the Gospel of John:
{No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.} (John 1:18).
