I came in order to visit Habib 'Id
and 'Id, and his son 'Abd al-Karim
And my visit is but for a matter
By which I attain success with the Ancient Meaning (al-Ma'na al-Qadim)
Sheikh 'Abd al-Latif Sa'ud Halabku said, praising Sheikh Habib Eid al-Salih:
I came to you, with abundant longing leading me
To you, and my intense love (Wajd) as my driver and guide
Hoping that the meeting is an allegiance (Wilayah)
Is not the beloved (Habib) of God the best intimate friend (Khalil)?
Sheikh Husayn Sa'ud Halabku said, praising Sheikh 'Id al-Salih and his sons:
Sons of 'Id, O sons of the best father
And O protectors of the sanctuary of knowledge and literature
You reached through your father the ultimate goal
Of gnostic sciences (Ma'arif), surpassing [other] people and lineage
