Then when they have prostrated, let them be [in position] behind you and have the other group come forward which has not [yet] prayed and let them pray with you and take their precaution and their arms. Those who disbelieve wish that you would neglect your weapons and your baggage so they can come down upon you in one [single] attack. But there is no blame upon you, if you are troubled by rain or are ill, for putting down your arms, but take your precaution. The Eminent Abu al-Hussein Muhammad bin Ali al-Jalli wrote poetry regarding the preservation of Dissimulation (Al-Taqiya), saying:

I became content and surrendered in submission,

With a pious heart and a pure soul

And I fasted, though [in reality] I was breaking the fast,

For the head of religion is the preservation of Dissimulation.

Among the sayings transmitted regarding this meaning is what Prince Abu al-Fath Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Nu'mani bestowed upon us in his treatise titled the Treatise of Al-Ikhlas (Sincerity).
