He blames only the praised, praises only the blamed, and follows nothing but the ambiguous (mutashabih) verses, just as he rejects nothing but the decisive (muhkam) among them, according to the saying of the Almighty:
{He it is who has sent down to you the Book; in it are verses [that are] decisive—they are the foundation of the Book—and others are ambiguous. As for those in whose hearts is deviation, they follow that which is ambiguous thereof} (Al-Imran: 7).
As for the believer, due to the purity of his substance, the radiance of his intellect, and the luminosity of his firm faith, he inclines only toward the Luminous Inward (Al-Batin al-Nurani), which is his source, element, and familiarity; thus, he blames only the blamed and praises only the praised.
This is confirmed by what Al-Sayyid al-Janan al-Junbulani established in the book Idah al-Misbah, saying: "Indeed, the disbeliever’s heart has been locked and his core (lubb) stripped away; he has been veiled from drawing from the lights, prevented from seeking wisdom, and barred from attaining expertise. {So a wall was struck between them having a gate: its inward contains mercy, and its outward toward it is punishment.}"
