Indeed, it is only the Gnosis (Ma‘rifa) of the Claimant.

If you obey the Persons of the Obligations (Ashkhas al-Furood) inwardly

You shall be safe from all fear. Establish their outward forms and do not conflict with them

And you shall be called ‘Trustworthy’ (Amin) over the Secret of Allah.

And avoid what is prohibited and forbidden.

Its meaning: That is, if you obey and recognize the Persons of these Inward Obligations (Ashkhas al-Furood al-Batina), you shall be safe. As for his saying, "Establish their outward forms... etc.", it means: [practice them] among the Opposites (Al-Addad). Do not manifest their inward nature by failing to establish the outward among the Opposites; for if you manifest it and neglect the Veiling (Al-Tastur) through the Outward, you would have betrayed the Trust (Al-Amana)—which is the Inward Gnosis—by exposing it to the Opposites. And his saying, "And avoid what is prohibited and forbidden," means: avoid prohibitions both outwardly and inwardly.

Muntajab al-Din al-'Ani—may Allah sanctify him—excelled in expressing this meaning where he says:

"There is many a fasting person who breaks the fast by day

Yet bears no burden of sin for it.
