As for our practice of this circumcision like the rest of the Islamic sects, it confirms the necessity of our establishing the Outward Law among the Opposites (Al-Addad).
Among the signs indicating the censure of the Outward and the praise of the Inward is what the scholar Al-Hasan bin Makzun al-Sinjari—may Allah sanctify him—decreed in the sermon for the Eid al-Fitr prayer, saying:
"And I bear witness that Muhammad is the Throne of His settling (Istiwa'), the station of His elevation, the worship of His Meaning (Ma‘na), and the path of His chosen ones; He who made his Gnosis (Ma‘rifa) the root of His obligations and his obedience the Mathani of His satisfactions. He struck Fasting as a parable for his silence (simt) and his fears, and pointed through the Eid to the festivals of the proclamation of his call. And He made him speak on this day, proclaiming by His command, calling to His manifest and His secret. Thus, the believers hastened to respond to him, while the disbelievers denied his call. He made it, for his occultation (ghayba), a witnessed day, and restored it every year as a praised festival for his allies. He made them know him through manifestation (zuhur) and commanded them therein to prostrate in prayer and draw near. A wall was struck between them and the disbelievers, having a door; its inward (batin) contains mercy, and its outward (zahir) toward it is punishment."
