Allah the Almighty has commanded in many verses that we establish the law of Moses, Jesus, Abraham, and all the prophets, and He has also informed us in many verses that there is no distinction at all between the Messengers. This is among what indicates the establishment of the Inward (Al-Batin) and the annulment of the Outward (Al-Zahir).

Among the decisive sayings confirming the annulment of the Outward and the establishment of the Inward is what was mentioned in the Acts [of the Apostles] concerning Peter and the Apostles: "Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said: 'We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.'

And this is the decisive word in establishing the Inward and annulling the Outward due to his saying: "We ought to obey God rather than men"—meaning those [men] who practiced the Outward Law. This is because Christ, who annulled it by the command of the One who sent him, is the most knowledgeable of Allah’s intent therein.
