And He conceals from them the "private parts"—meaning He removes from them the sins, for the "private parts" (Al-Sawa'at) are the sins; and that is by their response to it [the Gnosis], their recognition of it, and their obedience to it.

As for the "clothing of piety" (Libas al-Taqwa), it is the obfuscation through dissimulation (Al-Talbis bi al-Taqiya). Likewise, the "feathers" (Al-Rish) are the inward gnostic sciences through which the Knower ('Arif) flies to the Paradise of Gnosis, just as our Luminous Sheikh said in his poetry:

They roam around the Throne

With circling feathers.

It was also said: the "feathers" are the manifestation of the worlds of Light to them.

The Unique Sage, Sheikh Hussein Ahmad—may God sanctify him—said in his poem regarding this meaning:

White garments are their clothing

And sometimes in blue-tinted raiment.

This is supported by the Almighty's saying in Surah Al-Hajj: {But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire; poured upon their heads will be scalding water...} [up to His saying] {Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow.
