Adam and Eve, the two who descended, are the two believers: the Knower (Al-'Alim) and the Learner (Al-Muta'allim), who occupy the stations of husband and wife. As for the Words which Adam received, they are the manifestation of the Luminous Veils (Al-Hujub al-Nuraniyya) and the acceptance of their sciences. As for Guidance (Al-Huda), it is the manifestation of the Human Veils (Al-Hujub al-Bashariyya).

The absence of hunger, nakedness, thirst, heat, and cold before the Descent is evidence of the uninterrupted spiritual support (Al-Madad) and emanation (Al-Fayd) of celestial sciences and illuminations—which are the permanent food of souls and the garments that remain forever—and the continuity of the Remembrance (Al-Dhikir), which is symbolized by "drink."

The manifestation of their private parts (Saw'atuhuma) to them is the manifestation of the offense that occurred to them by wearing the human "shirts" (Al-Qumsan al-Bashariyya) and their suffering from what harms them due to that disobedience which is the Suw’at (plural feminine; its singular is Suw’a).
