Similar to this is what he also mentioned in his epistle, Al-Risala al-Misriyya (The Egyptian Epistle), in this chapter, narrating from his Sheikh, saying: On the authority of my Sheikh—may God have mercy on him—tracing it back with his chain to Bashar al-Sha'iri—peace be from him. Bashar said: "We, a group of brethren, gathered in a room partaking in 'Abd al-Nur (The Servant of Light), when a man among us jumped up and began to pray [the outward prayer]. When morning came, we went to the house of the Master al-Sadiq, and he said: 'Last night you were mentioning me [in remembrance], while this man who was praying was insulting me.'"
Similar to this is what he narrated from his Sheikh in this chapter, saying: "We were gathered partaking in 'Abd al-Nur in a room when suddenly the wall split open and a palm emerged from it holding a chamomile flower (uqhuwana). It greeted us with it and said to us: 'Partake of wine which is lawful for you among yourselves, but forbidden for you with others.' We looked at the palm and it was the hand of our Master al-Sadiq—peace be from us. Thus, he commanded us to use dissimulation (Taqiya) with the opponent and forbade its use with the concordant brother (Al-Akhal al-Muwālif)."
