Among what also indicates the lifting of outward obligation (raf' al-taklif al-zahiri) from the People of the Inward Religion (Ahl al-Din al-Batin) is what was mentioned in the book Adab Abd al-Muttalib regarding the prohibition of believers from the Outward Sciences (Al-Ulum al-Zahira), including this explicit declaration: "Do not incline toward the Outward Knowledge as long as you can attain the Inward Sciences."
And from it, with the same explicit meaning: "Let none of you seek the sciences of the common people (Al-Amma), for they would lead you out of your religion and the gnosis (Ma'rifa) of your Lord."
I say: The intent behind "the common people" (Al-Amma) is the People of Denial and Misguidance, according to the poetry of our Master Abu Sa'id:
He becomes like the commoners, pointing out of ignorance
Toward a fortified, hidden Unseen.
The philosopher and expert sage, Hamza ibn Ali ibn Shu'ba al-Harrani, excelled in what he established in his book The Gnostic's Proof (Hujjat al-Arif), in the chapter on "The Proof of the Inward and the Contradiction of the Outward," where he explicitly stated:
"If it is asked: Why did he [the Prophet] perform them [the outward rites] and urge [others] toward them?"
