Among what also confirms the rejection of the outward obligations (Al-Fara'id al-Zahira) is what the author of the book Realities of the Secrets of Religion (Haqa'iq Asrar al-Din) graced us with in clarifying the censure of outward Zakat (almsgiving). This is found in the chapter on the obligation of dissimulation (Taqiya), the concealment of faith, and the performance of outward deeds. It is narrated that our Master, the Commander of the Faithful, said: "I am the leader (Ya'sub) of the believers, and wealth is the leader of the oppressors." Thus, the praised wealth is the Inward (Al-Batin), which is the opposite of the censured outward wealth.
And from Sheikh Muhammad al-Kalazi—may God sanctify him—in the book Al-Ta’yid (The Support), regarding the censure of the Outward, he said: "A question concerning the state of Zakat through which a servant draws closer to his Master: Is it for the elite (Al-Khass) and the common (Al-‘Amm), or is it specific [to some], or is it for the weak and the needy?"
The answer is from what was narrated in the book Realities of the Secrets of Religion, a narration by Ibn Shu’ba al-Harrani from what he narrated and originated from 'The Knower' (Al-‘Alim)—peace be from
