{And of the people is he who disputes about God without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening Book, twisting his neck [in arrogance] to mislead [others] from the way of God. For him in this world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning Fire.} (Al-Hajj: 8–9).

And He Almighty said in Surat al-Mutaffifin:

{Woe, that Day, to the deniers—those who deny the Day of Religion (Yawm al-Din). And none denies it except every sinning transgressor.} (Al-Mutaffifin: 10–12).

Indeed, what is intended by "the Day" is the Spiritual Manifestation (al-Zuhur al-Ma‘nawi), and "Religion" (al-Din) is the affirmation of His Divinity (al-Uluhiyyah).

It has [also] been said: "The Day" is the Name (al-Ism) and "Religion" is the Meaning (al-Ma‘na); and God knows best.

And He Almighty said in the Surah of [the prophet] Luqman—peace be upon him:

{And of the people is he who purchases idle talk to mislead [others] from the way of God without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. And when Our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.} (Luqman: 6–7).
