if you were incorrect in your [own] saying—and even if it be against your religious or biological father and all relatives. This is because whoever conceals the testimony is among the sinful, according to His Almighty’s saying in Surat al-Ma'idah: {and we do not conceal the testimony of God; indeed, we would then be among the sinful} (Al-Ma'idah: 106).

God Almighty has mandated the censure of whoever knows the truth and denies it in Surat al-Baqarah by His saying:

{Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Book—those are cursed by God and cursed by those who curse, except for those who repent and reform and make evident [the truth]. Those I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.} (Al-Baqarah: 159-160).

{And do not conceal the testimony, for whoever conceals it—his heart is indeed sinful, and God is Knowing of what you do} (Al-Baqarah: 283).
