And among (those) is a great scholar who—according to the Encyclopedia of Khayr al-Sani'ah and other related books—is among the most prominent scholars of monotheism upon the sacred Khasibi Path (Tariqah) throughout its history... And this collection is what could be obtained from his written guidance, of which no introduction or preface can ascend to its ascension (Mi'raj). Therefore, we preferred that the book of the collection present itself, and that we summarize, as much as possible, the biography of an author who is well-known... He is:

The erudite, the monotheist, Sheikh Habib Eid al-Salih Al Yusuf Bashman, may God sanctify their secret, Amen.

Born in the year 1300 AH / 1881 AD. Died in the year 1376 AH / 1957 AD.

He grew up—may God sanctify his secret—upon the guidance of the sacred Khasibi authority, under the care of the "Messiah of his time" (according to the great poet Nadim Muhammad).. That is his father, the reverend erudite of the time, Sheikh 'Abd al-Salih (may his spirit be sanctified).. who was the trusted authority of his era (that is according to all other references).

For the notables of society at that time gathered around him—at their forefront Mr. Sulayman al-Asad (grandfather of the late founder, may his spirit be sanctified)—seeking his vision.
