The People of Monotheism have also established that the name of Jihad is applied to a luminous person, as Master Abu Abdullah pointed out in his "Watery Poem" (al-Qaṣīdah al-Mā’iyyah), saying:
Testing is a Jihad
with the sword, a momentous matter
Because the soul intends
so [there is] a killer and a killed.
And killing with the sword is a person
who is overtaken then overtakes
And death is higher than killing
and the speech is daunting.
The People of Monotheism also established that Jihad is the knowledge of his luminous person, and he is the Most Noble Gate (al-Bāb al-Akram). It has many meanings mentioned in the treatise of Prince Hasan bin Makzun—may God sanctify him—and in many references from the books of the People of Monotheism.
