The Qibla and the Kaaba, Exoterically and Esoterically...Zakat (Almsgiving), Exoterically and Esoterically... Jihad (Spiritual Struggle)

Meaning, believing in the exoteric aspects of the "houses" is not righteousness; rather, righteousness is the fear of God (al-Tuqa), the knowledge of the esoteric nature of the manifestations (al-Zuhurat), and believing in it.

It has been reported in the book al-Safi on the authority of the Commander of the Faithful that he said:

"God has designated a people for Knowledge and obligated upon the servants obedience to them by His saying: {And enter houses through their doors} (Al-Baqarah: 189). The 'houses' are the houses of knowledge with which the prophets were entrusted, and their 'doors' are their legatees (Awsiya’)."

And on his authority (PBUH):

"We are the houses which God commanded to be entered through their doors; we are the Gate of God and His houses through which He is approached. So whoever follows us and acknowledges our guardianship (Wilayah) has entered the houses through their doors, and whoever opposes us and prefers others over us has entered the houses from their backs.
